Chariots of Fire at the Gielgud Theatre

"Adapted from the legendary Oscar-winning movie, this spectacular and ingenious retelling of Eric Liddell's and Harold Abrahams' quest to become the fastest men on earth is an electrifying and immensely moving tale of two men's rivalry, and their unwavering determination to conquer the world in the face of prejudice, immovable beliefs and overwhelming odds."

Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching "Chariots of Fire" at the Gielgud Theatre. And while I was there I got to fufill a life time ambition, by sitting on a West End stage, the audience is split with some seats being on the stage to make it feel like a stadium and I managed to get a seat in the front row!!

The set is incredible with a revolve in the middle where all of the action happened. The running was incredible, with the actors dashing off the revolve around the auditorium! I  was exhausted just watching them!

The acting was flawless and the set changes seamless, and being so close to the action was just wonderful!
Jack Lowden and James McArdle were incredible as Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams, supported by an amazing cast. The cast were ultra talented, not only were they great actors, singers (yes there were a few songs thrown in for good measure) and dancers. They could also play musical instruments, my personal favourite was the cymbal player he was hilarious!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I went, but I absolutely loved the show, the story fits in perfectly at the moment as the Olympics are just around the corner and the end of the show is incredible with the change from Old to New.

Well worth a watch! Just a little note though if you are sitting "Stadium Side" as I was then there is no food or drink allowed to your seats and make sure you don't wear a dress!! I was petrified that the rest of the theatre could see my knickers!

Lots of Love J x

Hello Mr Louboutin !! Show me some Shoes !!

Last week after a lovely Lunch, the Girls and I paid a visit to the Design Museum in London Bridge. This was to see a certain Shoe Designers Exhibition and oh boy, he did not let us down !!!

Until July 9th The Christian Louboutin Exhibition is shining in all it's Red Sole Glory! Making all Ladies across London check their credit card balance to see if they can stretch to a new pair of platforms.
As soon as you walk in, you are in shoe heaven. Left, right and centre, the room is full of the best of his collections. With beautiful displays, the shoes are arranged in different years and styles.

One of our highlights was the hologram of Dita Von Teese, burlesque dancing around a huge sparkly shoe. She looks incredible, so sexy, beautiful and stunning. Exactly how a pair of Louboutins should make you feel!
Theres a lovely section that gives you a nice timeline of Christians career and also a fetish room with a selection of racey shoes that are only wearable in the bedroom !

Overall it was an absolutely lovely afternoon with the girls !! A fabulous way to celebrate the gentleman who changed the way women feel in a pair of heels!

Thank you Mr C. Louboutin
Here's to 20 more years of Fabulous Shoes! Xxxx

Viva Forever - The Musical!

We are very excited that Viva Forever - the musical starts on the 27th of November in the Piccadilly Theatre, London.

Produced by Judi Craymer (the lady behind smash hit musical Mamma Mia), written by funny lady Jennifer Saunders and featuring the music of the Spice Girls, Viva forever is sure to be a laugh a minute!
There are two reasons that we are excited for the musical, one being that we LOVED the Spice Girls and the other being that GIRL POWER will be back!

Yes that's right we get the return of "Girl Power"!!! The Spice Girls promoted "Girl Power" through their songs and it is something that has stuck with us for life!

"Viva Forever" means a whole new generation of young girls will be empowered to achieve their goals and dreams and learn about the importance of strong and loyal friendships!

In a society where Fame and Fortune are all we celebrate, getting back to the really important things in life like friendship and achieving those dreams that we have is something SGW think is important, especially when it comes to empowering young girls to make their own choices, and that seems to be just what the Musical is going to explore. Described as "a wonderfully joyous contemporary musical about the value of friendship in the face of fame and fortune!" We cannot wait to see what message it delivers!

Should you ever settle down for wealth?

I've had lots of conversations this weekend about money and about finding a "nice rich man to settle down with"!
But honesty girls, would you settle for wealth over real love?

I know my answer, I'd much rather be poor and in love than rich any day!
