The Search for "Happy Ever After".

I'm not ashamed to admit that this week Adele has been on full blast, followed by Taylor Swift. I've eaten mountains of chocolate and been selective in who I speak to - choosing to weep in my own self pity.... The reason?
It's obvious isn't it, there's only one reason someone would listen to that many sad songs on repeat and eat that much chocolate when she is trying to be healthy and that reason is a boy!!!!

I am a self confessed "Heart on my sleeve" sort of girl, and I've always liked that about myself. Until now, this week after a disastrous date (the less said about it the better) I have decided that wearing my heart on my sleeve is the worst thing ever. It's like being Alice in Wonderland and following the White Rabbit into the hole. Your head is telling you that this is a ridiculous idea but your heart... your heart is tugging you into the hole, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

You know all the right things to say when someone else is going through the same thing, but when it comes to you and your love life you do a brilliant impression of an ostrich, you bury your head in the sand so that you don't hear the advice your friends are giving you.
You just don't want to hear them utter those AWFUL, AWFUL words... "He's Just Not That Into You!” Those words rip through your romantic heart and tear all of your daydreams in two; you’d rather believe that he’s busy/ ill or missing in dating action than face the truth that he just isn’t that into you.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who knows without a doubt that my friends are right, but just can’t shake the feeling that this boy will be the one, the Prince Charming that Disney has been promising ever since I watched Sebastian and the other sea creatures surround Ariel and Eric and sing “Kiss the Girl”?

Well , this week I have been doing my best ever Ostrich impersonation, and have been refusing to listen to my friends very sensible advice (sorry friends) instead choosing to wallow in my own self pity, sit in my onesie and eat chocolate (which really does not help at all!!!)

It’s just today after waking up and reading T’s lovely post about kissing frogs that I have FINALLY come to my senses. I have the most wonderful friends and family, I have a laughter filled life that I absolutely cherish. So why dear Single Girls would I waste it looking round corners for Prince Charming, I've come to realise that a guy isn't going to change my life in the slightest, I will still have my friends and family and I will still be laughing, so why waste time searching for this happily ever after for my, when I have a Happy Present?

I've decided that for now I won’t chase that Happy Ever After, I will let it chase me....

Lots of Love J xxxxx

Grand Design Live.

We were very lucky girls this weekend, because thanks to Marie Curie (http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/) we got to go to the Grand Designs Live Show.

Grand Designs Live is a giant adult play ground, full of goodies for your home and garden. We had a ball roaming the Excel Centre finding all of our favourite things.

Here are a few of our favourite finds from the day:

The Chocolatier - A niche by Aneesh (we loved their tagline) (http://www.the-chocolatier.co.uk/) Chocolate that is cream, butter, egg and gelatine free but tastes amazing! We tried a bit of the salted caramel and bannana chocolate and it was amazing!

The kitchen section - we dreamed about cabinets and cool gadgets for a kitchen that we don't own. We also made friends with salesman Phil and enjoyed telling him all that was wrong with his kitchen display (they were storing tins in their fridge -who does that??)

The TV section was pretty cool, and definately a section for boys it was full of men trying to convince their other halves that a projector screen was just what they needed for their living room.

Loopy Lisa Fudge was another favourite (we spent a lot of time in the food section) her fudge is amazing we bought the Vanilla Fudge and ate it all before we got home!!! http://www.loopylisasfudge.co.uk/

J's Personal Favourite.
My personal favourite stand was "The Games Room Company". I love playing arcade games and I absolutely adore jukeboxes so this stand was my favourite. It had an amazing Jukebox that came with an iPod docking station too which means you can play your fav tunes along with the classics! I am definately saving my pennies to get one - just need to get a bigger flat!! (http://www.gamesroomcompany.com/)

T's Personal Favourite.
I absolutely loved the girly stand by the company "By Dusk". Beautiful Wallpaper, bed headboards, light features and hanging gems and jewels! My favourite piece has to be the heart shaped mirror you can see in the picture with the ruffled rim!! Gorgeous !!! Perfect for any room to complete a feature wall! Treat yourself at http://www.bydusk.com/

Thanks once again to Marie Curie we had a brilliant day!

Lots of Love

Betty Buff!

We were very lucky girls this week, we received some goodies from www.bettybuff.co.uk (@A1Betty) and we couldn't wait to try them out!
We got two sugar scrubs the first was called 'Strawberry Smash' and the second 'Scrummy Choco'! We fell in love with with them from the minute we caught a smell of them.
The Choco one literally smells good enough to eat/drink/bake with (we wouldn't of course because we know it's better on our skin!) We took it in turns to try each one and here's what we thought!
Single Girl 1's Review.
My favourite out of the two has to be the Strawberry Smash! It smells Devine ! Almost so good I wanted to spread it on my toast for breakfast! It's so zesty and fruity, the perfect wake up call in the morning !! Leaving your skin really soft and ready for your day ahead!

Single Girl 2's Review.
My favourite was the Chocolate one, it literally smelt like you should eat it!! the scrub was great all over my body, but especially on my feet!! My skin felt silky smooth and knowing that the scrub had no chemicals or preservatives made it even better!

A big thank you to Betty Buff for making our skin soft and smelling lovely, all without chemicals and preservatives!

The 'Scrummy Choco' and the 'Strawberry Smash' sugar scrubs can be brought for £8 each from the website !!

Perfect for sensitive skin, we would recommend Betty Buff to all of our friends.

Who simply makes the best Chocolate Caramel Slices!

As you can imagine I didn't exactly struggle with this task !! Please eat as many Chocolate Caramel Slices as possible and let us know which one is best.....erm ok!!!

So I have to say that the Chocolate Caramel Slice that topped the rest was most definitely from Costa !! It's absolutely Devine !!!

Gorgeous crumbling shortbread, lashings of thick gooey caramel and topped off with a slab of Belgium Chocolate ! BEAUTIFUL !!!

If you watch your calories, at 426kcal each you would want it to taste like a little slice of heaven and I can assure you my friends it won't let you down!!
